The Allen Eagles High School Volleyball team have a team huddle before their game against the Trinity Christian Academy Trojans on Aug. 23. “We really want to be district champions and make it to playoffs,” Zhang said. “It’s kinda known that Allen volleyball gets out first round of playoffs every year so we really want to make it past that.” Their next game is Sept 13. Against the Braswell High School Bengals, with JV at 5:30 p.m. and varsity at 6:30 p.m. at Braswell High School.

I was told when I got older with color guard I would learn to appreciate winter guard season,” Demorizi said. “I didn’t like winter guard season, I just could not get into it. Last year with COVID we had to scrap winter guard season, it did make me start to appreciate it a little bit more.” This wraps up the winter guard season with a total of nine performances.

Credit: Tara Wright / The team huddles to listen to Schoettle’s advice. “I’m a pretty passionate person and I’m high energy, to me it’s just the feeling you get about taking your best and going against someone else’s best and regardless of the outcome,” Schoettle said. “There’s something special about going up against somebody and giving your best.” On Feb. 15, Varsity will play at 7 p.m. and JV blue will play at 5 p.m. against Sacsheon the Sachse High School Softball Field.
