On Friday, September 6th at 7:00pm, the 1-0 Allen Eagles will be facing off against the 1-0 Dickinson Gators at home.

Allen are coming off a great first game of the season against Cedar Hill, winning the game 41-28, but Dickinson had a fantastic start to the season beating their opponent, George Ranch, 51-14. 

The key players to watch are Allen quarterback Raylen Sharpe and Dickinson quarterback Mick Welch. Sharpe did great  in the season opener, passing for 319 yards on 30 attempts and throwing for two touchdowns. Welch didn’t do much in the passing game only throwing 14 passes completing eight for 97 yards and a touchdown.

Sharpe was also very effective from the ground rushing for 134 yards on nine attempts two touchdowns. Welch did his thing in the running game as well, rushing for 129 yards on 13 carries averaging 9.92 yards a carry for two touchdowns. These two players are definitely the two players to keep an eye on for this game.  

Allen is currently ranked #10 in the state of Texas, and #62 nationally according to MaxPreps. Dickinson is ranked #33 in the state of Texas, and nationally ranked #248. It would be a major upset for Dickinson to pull off a win against Allen. Allen won their first game allowing only 28 points while scoring 41. Dickinson won their first game only allowing 14 points and scoring 51.
