Allen High School will host their annual senior directed plays. Auditions for this play ended mid-October and performances will be Nov. 10-12. There will be 10 plays directed by 13 seniors.

Performances for the plays will occur the week of Nov. 10 in the Black Box Theatre. Times for each of the plays are to be determined. The schedule for the plays can be found on the Allen Theatre Department website.

Auditions for cast and crew members for each of the plays finished on Oct. 13 and rehearsals began on Oct. 17. Allen seniors who are interested in becoming a director for the plays are chosen by the theatre department directors.

“My co-director Nathan and I decided on a play we wanted to direct, and we had to send in a proposal with a script, analysis and a reason why we picked the play,” senior and director of the upcoming play ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’ Hannah Holtz said. “Then we had to let our theatre directors know basic facts about the show, including the expected run time and tech needs.”

The chosen cast and crew list for each of the plays are listed on the Allen High School Theatre Department website.

‘4 a.m.’ by Jonathan Dorf will be directed by Leila Traweek and Lindsey Lane.
