Humans of Allen: Billzon Cortez
“So, this idiot in my apartment, he decided to set the first floor on fire…”
“When I was a young boy, I once had this teddy bear. It wasn’t really a teddy bear, it was more like a dog…ish? But it was basically a teddy bear that I kept. So, this idiot in my apartment, he decided to set the first floor on fire by cooking something that shouldn’t be cooked in a frying pan? So boom, there goes the fire! I was just lying in my bed and my dad kicks my door open and he’s like, ‘There’s a fire!’ and I was just like, ‘What?’ Because it was like, twelve in the morning, and because I was a little kid, he picks me up and runs me down the stairs, and then he runs back into the home and gets my mom, and I started crying. They’re like, of course, ‘I’m a kid, your house is gone!’ and I’m like, ‘No! I don’t care about my house, I want my thing back!’ ‘What thing?’ ‘You don’t understand, I want my dog back!’ They’re just like, ‘What!? There’s a dog in there?’ And they run in looking for a dog, but there was never any dog, I was just talking about my weird teddy bear-dog hybrid thing.”
