This winter season you might face some difficulty staying in style with the cold weather, but here is some trends and essentials you might want this beautiful season to stay warm and fashionable.

“I enjoy the winter season so much because your style and creativity really comes out with all the cute layers and accessories,” Taryn Harris, Allen Fashion club president, said.

Winter is the best way to get in style. With coats, boots and accessories staying trendy is easy to achieve.

Whether it be a dress or sweater, turtlenecks are trendy this season. Turtleneck sweaters are perfect to wear with any jeans, skirts and even over dresses. They will keep your neck warm and give you a nice edgy look.

Another thing to keep your eye out for this season are coats. Camel coats in particular make any outfit classy and elegant. Slip on a camel coat over a sweater and some kind of jeans with a cute beanie to get a modern New York look. Camel coats can be worn over dresses, skirts, jeans and leggings. Make sure to buy a few pairs of thick and sheer tights or leggings. During this cold season the most elegant thing you could wear is a dress or skirt with sheer leggings. You can wear thick tights with oversized sweatshirts or oversized coats for a quick sporty look. Oversized coats can give you a feeling of coziness and comfort.

Trendy shoes this winter season are high knee boots, ankle boots and white sneakers. High knee boots are the new it thing that can be worn with dresses, pants and skirts. Slip on high knee boots with a mini cute skirt, sheer tights,a sweater and a camel coat over it and there is an amazing street style paris look. Ankle boots can make any outfit dressy and fabulous. White sneakers are go to shoes because they match with most outfits. Try white Converse, Vans or white Nike tennis shoes

“I like short booties with the heels and the long boots in the color black and brown,” Jessica Ford, Allen Fashion club historian, said.

The trendy colors this season are dark, deep and dreamy shades such as maroon, navy, grey, nude, brown, black and olive.

“My favorite colors this season are maroon and earth tone green,” Harris said.

To complete your winter look beanies, high knee socks and scarfs are perfect accessories to make your winter outfits on fleek.

“My favorite accessory would have to be a scarf; they are so cute and warm I love them,” Harris said.

Do not forget about jewelry though because fashionable rings, watches and beautiful necklaces can turn normal into flawless.

Plaid has been all over the runways this season from skirts to tops to shoes. Plaid is an amazing casual pattern to wear.

Faux suede fabric is definitely making its mark this year. Faux suede skirts come in many styles such as mini, long, fringe and high low. Celebrities, teenagers and adults have been spotted rocking the suede skirt look all season. You can make faux suede casual or dress it up as much as you desire.

“Velvet or fur is definitely a great fabric this season,” Pauline Esguerra, Allen Fashion Club vice president, said.

“Winter fashion this year was definitely one for the books,” Esguerra said. “Fashion is becoming better and better.”

This winter season is the best yet for the winter fashion industry. From Banana Republic and Forever 21 to Balmain and Michael Kors these brands have stunning fashion trends.
