On Friday, Aug. 28, 2025, Allen High School defeated Midland Legacy with a score of 46-13.
Some of this game’s proceeds went to Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer.
The first quarter started with kicker Steven Verastegui from Midland Legacy kicking off the game.
At the 11-minute mark, wide receiver Carter Harris scored the first touchdown of the game, marking the Eagles in the lead 7-0.
Running back Jaden Hambric scored a 2-yard touchdown, bringing the Eagles’ score up to 14-0.
Quarterback Ty Snell did a complete pass to wide receiver Caleb Smith, who scored a 30-yard touchdown, raising Allen’s score to 21-0.
Closing out the first quarter, the Eagles were in the lead 21-0.
Wide receiver Semaj Johnson started the second quarter with a 40-yard touchdown, resulting in a score of 28-0.
Running back Lyndon Spriggs followed up with a 15-yard touchdown, bringing the score up to 34-0. Allen got the ball after Midland Legacy turned over a possession on a missed field goal.
During halftime, Allen had the opportunity to break the Guinness World Record for ‘The Loudest Outdoor Scream.’ The current holder of this record is a group in Finland, according to Kris Cumnock, the CEO of Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer.
According to the decibel tracker, Allen’s attempt went over 127.2 dBA, reaching beyond the previous record. The decision for the world record is currently being reviewed.
The Eagles started the third quarter 34 points ahead of the Rebels. The Rebels scored the first touchdown running from the 5-yard line.
Defensive back Kai Wheaton scored the second touchdown of the quarter.
Starting from the 3-yard line, Spriggs scored the third touchdown of the third quarter, bringing the score to 42-6.
The Eagles scored their first field goal, closing the third quarter, keeping them in the lead at 46-6.
JP Reyes, a quarterback from Midland Legacy, scored a touchdown, bringing their score up to 46-13 at the two-minute mark in the fourth quarter.
As a result, the Eagles won their first game of the 2025-26 academic year with a final score of 46-13.
