Humans of Allen: Madoka Weldon
“When I go [to Japan] we try to go somewhere new, like a place I haven’t been before. So, lately I’ve been into visiting different temples and historical places. Last year we went to a bunch of really old buddhist temples and this fall I’m going to visit Hiroshima, so probably my favorite thing is just going to different places. [Japan] is really different because, obviously the culture is one thing, but the people in general are a lot different. There [the people are] a lot more formal, timid and very traditional. Here, we are a lot different because we are the opposite of all those things. We are not traditional, I think we are following more millennial ways. Also there’s a lot more freedom to express ourselves in America.”
