“My freshman year, my dad asked if I wanted to try Special Olympics, and I tried it out. My sophomore year, I was hanging out with the kids with special needs and I decided to do Partners in P.E. and I loved that. Now I’m in Peer Tutoring and I work with the kids with special needs. I’m a really big people person, I’m drawn to it by the idea of helping others. Peer Tutoring made me more open to different kinds of people, it opened my eyes that there’s a whole world, and it’s not all about me. There are other people who have difficulties, some might be on the outside, but everyone has their own struggles.”
