Kindred

Passion Pit’s new album “Kindred” is the newest album of Passion Pit’s collection of more than a hundred plus songs. Passion Pit is a band with a mixture of pop beats and alternative rock, and Kindred does not disappoint as the band brings more in the album that many of the fans will love.

As I listen to this album for the first time, I can’t help but dance to the songs “Where the Sky Hangs” and “Lifted Up,” as they make for good party and car music. The beats on the album are really good and the lyrics make a lot of sense.

Although the album has some good songs, I feel as though that this album missed its mark. I like the beats mixed with the rhythm, but it makes the song sound very rough and because of this song lose its value. The song turns from meaningful hits into a techno dubstep mixture of confusion.

Also this album didn’t touch me in any way. The songs don’t grasp my attention and, instead of listening to most of the songs, I had the tendency to skip to more attention seeking songs. “Kindred” doesn’t make me want to recommend it much less play it on a consistent basis. I feel as though this album would be a last resort playlist if I got bored with everything else.

Although the album did not grasp my attention like I hoped for, there are a few songs that deserve the recognition and the constant replay. This album is good if you want to have songs with good beats but lyrics that nobody would really care for.
