Spiking their way to the top

The Eagles volleyball team is currently 25-11, 6-5 throughout the season, with 12 games remaining in the season in order to determine whether the team goes on to the state final on Nov. 22.

The team has come out victorious in several tournaments and opens, with wins in the Pearland tournament, the Lone Star Circle of Champions tournament, and the Allen Texas Open. They took down several tough competitors such as Lovejoy, DeSoto, Flower Mound, Prosper, and Parish Episcopal just to name a few.

Since the Lady Eagles began their season with a close win versus Rowlett at home on Aug.12, they have kept it rolling ever since. Led by senior Sheridan Ralston, the team has their grit, toughness and togetherness as a solid team.

The team has to keep this style of play going, keep that tremendous team chemistry going and most importantly stay healthy for just over a month in order to advance to state toward the end of November.

Whether the team can keep the composure and keep that offensive unit healthy and ready, remains to be seen. We just wish them the best of luck through this tough final stretch of the season.
