Dishing out the competition

The men’s basketball team will hold a Tip-Off pep rally on Oct. 29 prior to the season. The team will also be playing in several scrimmages versus Jesuit, Duncanville, and Berkner on Nov.8 and another scrimmage versus Heath and Rowlett.

The Eagles are set to begin their regulr season on Nov.18 versus Mansfield Lake Ridge at home. Coach Jeff McCullough and the Eagles will look to advance further in the playoffs this upcoming year after losing a hard fought playoff series which led to the team being eliminated prior to the state championship game last year.

The Eagles will be led by senior Olin Carter who knows he will have to give that extra bit in order to advance further than last year. The Eagles are without a key component in center Jamuni McNeace who graduated last year and is now at the University of Oklahoma.

The Eagles will have to go through some very tough competition in district 6-6A such as the Flower Mound Jaguars, Flower Mound Marcus Marauders, Lewisville Fighting, Lewis Hebron Hawks, McKinney Boyd Broncos, Plano Wildcats, Plano East Panthers and Plano West Wolves.
