Following the death of Freddie Grey in Baltimore, MD, the population rose up in violent protests in the form of riots and looting. These riots caused the closure of roads, businesses and even schools in the area as safety measures. President Obama responded to the violence saying Americans need to do some “soul searching” to break the cycle of clashes between the police and communities they serve.
