Flip-Flops Forever

My editors finally let me write this story. Either I bothered them enough or they finally understand the greatness that is flip-flops.

There is literally no better shoe than flip-flops; they’re easy to put on, and they’re year-round, too.

Flip flops are great shoes for summer for so many reasons. They are well ventilated for your feet, and they rock on the beach. Whenever you go to the beach, your feet get sand all over them, and if you wore any other kind of shoe, it would take weeks to get rid of all the sand. You can always just take off your flip-flops and rinse them off, and voilà,  it’s like they never had sand on them.

The summer isn’t the only time of year to wear flip-flops, though. Spring and fall have pleasant temperatures, so flip-flops let you treat your feet to a nice breeze. You may think “winter is too cold for flip-flops,” which is a common, yet naïve thought. However, it’s not an issue with the flip-flops. It’s actually about the rest of the outfit. If you wear long pants, such as jeans, you can buy them with the length a size or two too big, so they’ll cover up the top of your feet. Besides, you won’t be outside much during the winter anyway.

The best part about flip-flops is easily how convenient they are. You never have to mess with putting socks on or taking them off just to let your feet breath. It takes no time at all to put them on or take them off, and they free you from the constrictions that other shoes put on you.  It goes without saying that anyone who wears shoes should go out and get a pair of flip-flops for this summer, along with the coming fall, winter and spring.
